We’re looking for a Brewer to join the brewery team in Dyce, Aberdeen, supporting the full brewing process from raw materials through to finished beer. This role is hands-on, quality-focused, and ideal for someone who takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and great beer.
About the role
The Brewer will prepare equipment and ingredients, operate the brewhouse, and ensure recipes are followed accurately at every stage. You’ll transfer beer safely and hygienically to fermentation vessels, monitor fermentation and conditioning, and support cellar and analysis duties as needed.
You’ll also carry out laboratory checks such as yeast counts and viability testing, complete production records in Breww software, and help maintain high standards across hygiene, safety, and quality control.
What you’ll do
- Prepare all equipment and ingredients needed for brewing.
- Operate the brewhouse in line with recipe and process requirements.
- Transfer beer safely and hygienically to fermenting vessels.
- Clean and sterilise equipment to a very high standard.
- Monitor beer through fermentation and conditioning.
- Add cold-side ingredients and process aids with careful attention to sterility and oxygen pickup.
- Carry out laboratory testing, including yeast counts and viability checks.
- Complete brewsheets and production records accurately and on schedule.
- Assess beer quality throughout production using both technical and sensory evaluation.
- Support continual improvement in efficiency, quality, and process performance.
What we’re looking for
- A formal brewing qualification at Diploma or Degree level, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
