About Fierce Beer:
Aberdeen's Award-Winning Craft Brewery. Founded in 2016
Founders Dave Grant and David McHardy left careers in the oil and gas industry to pursue something they believed Scotland was missing: bold, uncompromising craft beer inspired by the hop-forward intensity of American West Coast brewing.
The first commercial brew rolled out on 3 May 2016. Less than a decade later, Fierce Beer operates a state-of-the-art production brewery in Dyce, Aberdeen, with bars in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, and beer on the shelves of supermarkets across the UK.
Brewing Philosophy:
Flavour Without Compromise
At Fierce Beer, every recipe is built for maximum flavour, but never at the expense of accessibility.
We don’t believe anyone should be sidelined by dietary requirements. By making the majority of our core range Certified Gluten-Free and Vegan-Friendly, we’ve ensured that Fierce flavour is accessible to everyone, without ever losing the body or character of the brew.
The core range spans styles for every occasion, from Fancy Juice, a tropical hazy IPA, to Cerveza, a crisp Mexican-style lager built for everyday drinking. For those who want to go deeper, the Very Big Moose (VBM) imperial stout series, aged in whisky barrels, has become one of the most anticipated and collectible releases on the UK craft beer calendar. VBM isn't just a beer; it's a cult classic. These barrel-aged Imperial Stouts are so highly anticipated that recent releases have sold out before they even hit the official launch date.
In 2024, Fierce defined a new category entirely with the Fierce Beer Cooler range. Applying craft brewing precision to a lighter, fruit-infused base, the range produced standout hits including Fierce Iron Brew and Fierce Peach. Both rapidly gained a following across the UK and continue to bring exciting craft innovation to new audiences.
Growth & Community
In 2022, growing demand prompted a move to a larger facility in Dyce on the outskirts of Aberdeen. A community crowdfunding campaign in 2024 supported further investment in production capacity and sustainable brewing technology, reflecting the loyalty of a fanbase that has grown alongside the brewery since day one.
